Default Pain in the butt

Trying to put in a new door lock actuator. I got the thiing in finally after 2 hrs and now its making a grinding noise everytime i unlock it. how do i fix this

Don't know, but I've been avoiding fixing my girlfriend's Focus that has the same grinding noise every time I lock it. There are two doors that both have that sound, so if you figure it out please update.

bassplayer i had that problem in my truck and it happens when somebody opens the door wide open with to much strenght.i donīt know the name in English but you have to change a litlle metal bar that is inside the door and car ,and you see it when you open the door,in portuguese is limitador da porta,door limitador???

No its actually when I hit the lock/unlock button but only when i hit unlock it will unlock it but now its making a grinding noise...

Yeah, my problem is like this. Not when I am physically opening the door. You said its happening with the new actuator? Was it happening before?

Before the new one it was weak and would not pop the lock enought to actually unlock it. so with the new one it unlcoks it nice but it makes a nasty grinding sometimes. it seems harder to pull up than the other side so maybe it has too much strain on the actuator
