Default Couple Questions From a Young Pup

16 yrs. old & worked my butt off finally lookin for a truck!! I have a few questions about prices and open for advice and reccomendations.

My Nana told me she would match my $2,500 that I saved for the past two years and loan me up to $2,000. I've been creepin' around the forum and I love that 3" lift, 32" tires, and grille guard look. I live in Tampa area in Florida and there are tons of Ranger's on craigslist.

If I were to put at least $4,500 towards the truck itself, what could I pull off with $2,500 more in addition to the truck?

I'm sure you guys here at the Forum get a bunch of twats asking dumb questions. I'm serious about this looking for solid info from guys who know what I'm looking for, my parents don't understand right now so basically trying to learn as much as I can so i can show them.

Thanks,

Geoff

depends on the year of the truck. look for deals on the internet and you would be surprised on what you can find for the money.

You can do alot with the 2500, body lift, tires and a few other mods as well. Check the how to section for cheap mods as well

Dont like the color. Dont like carpet. bad experiences. IMO they want too much money for that. Shop around a while.

there are diffeerent ways to lift the ranger. And it all depends on the kind of ranger you have.

I'm not fond of the 3.0's myself. You may be able to find an 01+ for the same price and hopefully in a 4.0 SOHC

Ask them to throw in some tires with buying it. The back tires look almost bald and the fronts are snowtires.

I don't know a lot about the newer ranger and what they are worth, but test drive any truck before you buy it. Take a parent with you or grandma even so the sales clerk won't want to ride with you.

Do you know any mechanics who would do an inspection of the vehicle for you? Like the comercals say, ask for the carfax report.

You can find deals if you look.
