should i bring my black hood back from the land of the dead or leave it grey?




i'm looking at getting the black fender flairs. what else would you do to this truck if i left you alone with it for a week? i'm getting bord and want to mod something else....

If you left the original hood I would say black headlights with black clear corners

What are your thoughts on chrome?

Chrome bumper would look good

Here's what I've got-
I have done some of these, and plan on doing some of the others.

I got a strange Idea, what about you paint the inner vertical pieces of the grill silver. Then black hood, but extend the silver on the grill into the hood, and make two thin stripes. It's too bad, I really don't have time to put it in paint for you, but it would be different.

Also-
Color match mirrors
A big black pinstripe
Paint on the wheels
The mesh in your grill should be chrome
Some sort of new headlights
Mesh in the bumper

Just my style, feel free to take none of it.

ok guys the black hood "will be comming back" as soon as i find the gun. it's in the garage and i sure as hell can't seem to find it right now. i was looking for the black fender flairs and i got the passenger side miror today that's like the one's on stl's truck maybe i'll get lucky to get a drivers side next trip? then i'll color match them before the install. i have a john deere plate on the front now with 3"blue fogs in the valance on both sides of the plate.i'll post pics whenwhen i get the chance tomorow.

I would bring it back. It looked pretty sweet.

Another few ideas that have come up-

What about you only paint the part where the "powerdome" comes up, like where you would put a 4.0 SOHC sticker if you wanted. And then you also paint the "indent" that goes right down the middle. Paint both to be black.

I think black rocker panels wouldn't look bad, whether it be paint or roll on bed liner.

What year is your truck? I wanna do some work in paint on it now!

Edit to add:
I just thought about body matched mesh in the grill, on a silver truck it might not show up so much, but on some of the wilder colors, it might be sweet!
I like this thread, it lets me toss out all the different ideas I come up with, whether there pratical or not.

it's a 2004 and sorry i don't have any better pics of it right now.. feel free to play till your blue in the face just shear your ideas with us..
