id like a manual in my ranger, but first thing is first, we just got a new sata jet paint gun that is screaming to paint my ranger black below the body line, not the rockers but the body line on the fenders and doors, green above, and orange on the body line itself

That could be cool, definitely post some pics when it happens. I think i am going to classic with my black ranger and simply add red accents (subtle touches)

gotta wait till next year when we get one of our shops set up for paint, ones the body shop/storage, and the other one is gonna be storage/paint booth LOL my dad and i have lots of vehicles to store, hes buying a semi right away, hes got a 67 mustang, 67 cougar, 99 f150, 06 f150 and 2 trailers, flat deck and enclosed, yamaha wave runner, i have a 00 ranger, 86 ranger, 05 f150, and flat deck 22 foot trailer, plus a 660 raptor

Ohhh this thread... here's the tl;dr:

1) Ford is smarter than people on forums
2) The F-150 is better than the Ranger
3) ????
4) PROFIT!

Phase 1: Make the best Ranger with the brightest future by offering Crew Cab, a good looking exterior and interior and perhaps a diesel
Phase2:????
Phase 3 make a profit everywhere else in the world except one of the biggest automotive markets (North America)

Sheesh Ford Logic

They already had a crew cab ranger, it was called the Sport Trac. Nobody bought them.. Why would they make another?

An explorer with a 3 Ft. Bed is not crewcab Ranger, it's a ford quick fix to a lack of a crewcab

So if you're so much smarter than Ford, why aren't you manufacturing your own brand of vehicles and making billions?

I would rather make log houses with pretzels

damn, get over it!! ford was supposed to kill the ranger off in 2006 but it got a repreive. then another in 2009, now, in 2011 and it's officially dead. NONE of you are marketing experts who work for Ford, so don't tell us you know what the general public wants or needs. The sport trac died last year, the thunderbird has died and been reborn numerous times, The Taurus was born/died/reborn, the original Fiesta, became the escort, then the festiva, then the focus, then back to the fiesta. The Ranger had a great Run. Like all good things, it must come to an end. It's time to close the garage door on the Ford Ranger and let it rest in peace.

So I was told that the Ranger is being replaced by a F100! So go figure. One more rumor I guess! I bought my new 'used' 2008 yesterday and the first thing I noticed is how poor the ergonomics of the turn signal are! Too much lifting/pushing for the lane changer and bad 'click' to set it to hold. No wonder Toyotas get kudos. They engineer the most minute details instead of appearance decals...
