hyrdro brakes to air brakes?
just for shits and giggles, how hard and labor intensive would it be to change out all my brakes from the stock hyrodrolic brakes to air brakes?
Also, how hard would it be to rig up an air ride drivers seat?
I just thought about it and see what you guys would say...

Re: hyrdro brakes to air brakes?
Would be a pretty big job and I don't know if you'll find air brake components in the size to fit your truck as they tend to be big rig big brakes kinda stuff. As well I'd be concerned about licensing and insurance... easiest to say nothing but if something even completely unrealted to the changes goes wrong you could be liable and insurance not paying as the driver wasn't licensed for air brakes??? yeah they are that stupid.

Re: hyrdro brakes to air brakes?
I'm just going to go out on a limb and say it's not possible. You're never going to find parts that will fit.

Re: hyrdro brakes to air brakes?
No reason why not. Just buy an air ride seat and bolt it in. You'll have to make your own mounts. And you'll need to install a compressor and an air tank. I doubt you'll find a seat that doens't looks like crap in a Ranger though. These things are made for huge vehicles. It will look way off in a Ranger.

I've got an air horn in my b4000... compact one though Stebel Natilus
Here's a link with air seats for small trucks....

Only problem is for them a small truck is an F350
