rubber brake line that goes from frame rail to caliper... see If I can explain.. pressing the pedal the fluid is forcing the caliper shut while the bad "rubber" hose is expanding, letting off the brake the break line decompresses (returning to its natural shape) and not letting all the fluid in caliper to return/exit.. also so force bleed out all the old/dirty fluid.. while adding new..

good point, some times I assume every ones a mechanic.
pull the slide pins out(these should move freely as caliper travels in/out), clean them, grease them, make sure seal/boot is properly re-installed

i have changed maaaany a brake pads and turned rotors working in a shop through high school, and i forgot to do mine once and mine seized up, ended up blowing the piston apart which blew up the caliper and drained brake fluid everywhere no brakes for me! hello ditch.
