im agreeing with this. Cold air will come from the front. Not the sides.

Well in my thinking there is velocity and there is volume. The piston has a limited amount of time to take in air. The stock air box with it's single intake channel can get an air column moving quickly so volume is delivered by that means well. Compromise that and you lose the velocity factor.

I recently did this to my moms S-10..
a little water will not hurt anything.. in the right application, it helps
seafoam does the same thing

More holes doesn't equal more air. The existing hole in the front is already perfectly adequate, it doesn't need more so adding more holes will not make it magically suck more. What it will do is allow it to draw in hot air from the engine bay. This will reduce performance. You're best bet is to cover up those holes with some duct tape. More info here:

I'm not mad. Just annoyed with his creepy and totally uncalled for stalking. But cool picture bro, definitely adds a lot to this discussion. Nice work.

It will take a LOT more than retarded pictures to accomplish that. But again, way to contribute!

That part of the airbox is so buried and hidden, some black duct tape (inside and out) will cure it for about $2.00.
