Default Led's for 2005

New member here.. I just bought a 2005 w/ the 3.0. I want to put Led's in the front and rear. I am reading where the 3157 LED's will work for 3457, 4157 bulbs (front and rear turn signal and rear tail lights). Anyone tried these? Are they the same size?

I would stay away from those plug in led's they have bad light out put.

If you choose to you will need to buy a new turn signal flasher. U will need a EP27 if not the turn signals will flash fast like they do when one burns out.

I believe the 3157 LED's will work in place of 3457 bulbs. As long as the base is the same configuration and the overall length is similar, you should be ok.

I used the 63 led 3156/7's in my turn signals (red) and reverse lights (white) in the tail lights.
They're quite bright & have great color.
Since I installed clear corners up front, I just went with yellow bulbs for the turn signals so a little of the yellow shows through all the time.

I ran into a little issue using them as brake lights, but it's probably due to all the other led's I have connected, not to the bulbs themselves.

You'll most likely need an EP27 electronic flasher as STL mentioned to prevent hyper flash.

Are these just plug and play for the rear tail lights w/o the EP27?

They should just plug in like your old bulbs. The only difference should be the length of the bulb/led area.

Once you get the led's installed, most times you'll get what's known as "hyper flash" where the turn signals blink really fast. Most of the OEM turn signal flashers don't know how to handle the difference in resistance with the led's, so they blink fast like when the bulb is burned out.

The EP27 electronic flasher is a simple swap, just unplug the old one from under the dash, plug in the new one & you're done.
