The 2011 Ford Ranger
Saw the new Ranger this weekend at the Phila. Auto Show and you know what? It looks almost identical inside and out (with minor refinements) to my 2002 Ranger. I guess if it aint broke, don't fix it...

Re: The 2011 Ford Ranger
2004-2005 got the high back seats. Many hate them I love them. Then 2006 they went back to the lower ones but just square at top.

Re: The 2011 Ford Ranger
I hated my seats after I sat in others. Just way to stiff for my liking.

Re: The 2011 Ford Ranger
They haven't changed anything because they are killing it off and decided to give Tokyo all the small truck business.

Yeah it is. It is like the Jeep Cherokee. From the late 80's to the last year model made it looked identical.

Re: The 2011 Ford Ranger
Might just be me but when I'm in a Tacoma, Frontier, Canyon, sierra ect... I'm not amazed how modern they seem and thinking my truck isn't modern.
What's this amazing modern I'm missing?

Re: The 2011 Ford Ranger
Ford is really dropping the ball by getting rid of the Ranger. I retired from Ford and in 41 years of driving ONLY Ford products, they no longer have anything I am interested in. Not only the demise of the Ranger but, the Full Frame cars like the CV and Mercury in general, they have bastardized the Explorer by making it a FWD unibody. It really pains me to think that if I want a RWD vehicle, I may be forced to go to GM or Chrysler.

I do like the interior of the tacoma, but somehow the White gauges of the Ranger Sport is a great sight to see everyday . The center console of the ranger in comparison of the tacom is kind of on the fugly side though. I also like the leather shift know of the tacoma as well. But I do love my Vinyl flooring in my ranger

Re: The 2011 Ford Ranger
I'm planning on buying the 2011 in a couple years... then maybe in 10-15 years when I want to get rid of it they might be back... who knows.

Not to change the subject, but when did they do this to the Explorer? My mom has a 2009 Eddie Bauer Edition Explorer and its 4x4, and really nice.
