Default Tips for removing spare

Anyone have any tips or tricks to remove the spare located under the bed? I have been trying to get the spare down forever, but can't seem to get the tool to engage to unwind the mechanism.

No, it's not locked. I just can't get the extension to seat properly in the mechanism. I can't believe I'm about to call a station for a damn flat tire. Man card revoked.

Is there mud/ice/snow build up on the bolt? It could be keeping it from seating right.

If and when you get it removed. DON'T put it back. Leave it in the bed. Too much of a pain to deal with under the box.

Got it out thanks to Machine coming and helping me. I was missing the adaptor that goes on the end of the extension.
