Re: How the f*** do you do a brake stand in a manual?
Why waste your clutch and tires?
Save you money and drive till you need to replace them, instead of burning them up. But it is your money, have fun and don't hurt anyone.

because it looks cool, but it wouldn't be a long one. I learned that with my old diesel. I did such a big one, it left groves in the cement and my tires were basically gone, and melting. And i'd just want to see if my truck could do it.

Oh great plan. Hope he doesn't actually need to use the brakes for their actual purpose... you know, stopping the truck...

Re: How the f*** do you do a brake stand in a manual?
Not to attack the OP, but I never understood why people think "brake stands" are cool? Is it like a dick measuring contest? I mean, it's all fun and games until you hear POP, and then you go home all pissed off and embarrassed. Why even try if there's a chance it will end up in failure?

Basically, yes that is what it is. It's the less homo method.

Re: How the f*** do you do a brake stand in a manual?
The burnout was invented after the first car was invented it served as something to do while he waited for the second car to be made and on that day they raced
Burnout contests are the best way to ruin a perfectly good set of tires

Trust me a 2.9l is capable of a burn out even if its only just one wheel ( well on mine it is and they where shitty junkyard tires) but its possible
