Badge Opinions
'02 XL 2wd in white, nothing fancy. I wanted to take the Ranger badges off the fenders just for a different look but found out when I started with the string trick that there are indeed tabs/holes on the back side. Hmm I thought, what would be different? What is your opinion of stick on Harley tank emblems? I'm not trying to be an F150 HD clone, just something different. I do own a Harley btw and my vanity license plate refers to it. (if you know Harley Davidson model coding)
Show me your badge replacement pics if you have any - I have not seen any in my lurking sessions.
Thanks everyone - this forum is awesome. I am so glad to have discovered it a few days ago.

Re: Badge Opinions
Saw this the other day at a local car lot. The thing I doubt the Harley badge would cover the existing holes

I did this one day just screwing around

Re: Badge Opinions
When i bought my truck and i told the guy i wanted all equipment in black, he thought i wanted to make a harley-davidson edition type ranger.
Now that you mention it, could look good, don't know why it hasn't been offered (seen one ranger HD last year, but it was a custom job, overly flashy too).
Like, you could place the HD tags in front of the ranger tags like the f150.
And then the embossed letters on the upper back of the bed, could look cool if your truck stays clean.
As long as you don't ride on steelies, would look good imho.

Re: Badge Opinions
I personally dont care for the new HD editions with the Harley Davidson down the bed. Looks weird to me.

Re: Badge Opinions
They're very popular here, with all the biker gangs around lol
the oversized rims and skinny tires look weird on a big 4x4 truck to me though

The ones that I am considering are actual badges that go on HD gas tanks and I should be able to find one that is long enough to cover the holes. I like the look of the CAT badge that you have there - not flashy or too out of place. Just something to catch the eye that is different from most vehicle customizing.

I agree - that has always looked like crap.

No, not the HD badge, more like the various styles of "Harley Davidson". Many, many to choose from.

I kinda like it, makes it look a lot better (classier) than my cheap "Sport" stickers.

Re: Badge Opinions
just remove your "sport" stickers, if you don't like them.
I for one, have never liked any vehicle that is "fake" meaning people who put FX4 stickers on a regular 4x4, people who put "Turbo" on a non turbo, etc....
But, it is your truck and do what you like.

Bah, it's just an equipment option.
Just like the Sport equipment package is really an XLT (think the edge was the same back in the day, no?).
