Default Stereo System- Adding a bass and an amp

Hey everyone out there i have a 3.0L V6 Ranger and I'm looking to personalize it. Its and extended cab with the back doors that open and two fold down seats. I want to upgrade my sound system by adding a bass and an amp. I really have no idea how to do all of this but I am thinking as far as space goes I can take out one of the fold down seats and place it against the back wall. If anyone has a modification they did or any ideas I would greatly appreciate it!

First off, its a subwoofer not bas.. subwoofers produce bass, not vice versa.

Now that we've cleared that up, how much bass do you want?

It might be hard to get a Bass in the truck without spilling the water

You looking to do something like this? How much bass are you wanting? That will help figure out what size sub. Are you still using the factory head unit?

Replace the headunit and all 4 door speakers first. Then add a sub. Otherwise its a waste of time and money, not to mention it will sound like shit.

A ranger is not really good for putting subs in.

definitely not a waste. for stock speakers with an upgraded head unit, my truck didn't sound too bad. if you tune the sub to add bass at a reasonable level then you're good to go, i rolled around like that for like 3 years before new speakers.

I ran stock headunit and Apline speakers with my sub and amp for years and I had no problems with it

It was a noticeable upgrade when I got the new headunit and 4 channel amp

This is my setup:

Best picture I have right now.

It's a 12" Pioneer Champion Series sub, facing my passenger seat. Ported box (feels cool when it's really deep bass because it's like a second air conditioner in the back lol). Little MX audio amp. I left my fold down seat in, because I was planning on removing the sub box for the winter. Fits alright, doesn't shift too much. I'm addicted to bass and this is quite enough bass for me. You can hear me blocks away when I have it at a decent volume. Also, stock speakers at the moment as I am a poor student. Got an old pioneer premier ipod head unit. Works for me, and was pretty cheap. (I tricked visions into paying a third the price for the sub)
I would recommend a smaller box for your setup, because if you have a tall passenger they might whine about not being able to recline or stretch their legs out. You can see that when I drive I have my seat all the way back and reclined pretty far (I'm 6'0") and the passenger seat is farther ahead than driver's.
