Question 04 lower valance fog help w. taking apart

As my long title says I have a 2004 xlt with factory fogs in the lower valence. The little piece that covers the light inside has fallen off so I need to open the lights up. Obtook them off the truck and can't open them. I heard on here somewhere thabyou may need to pit them in the oven. Can anyone help with some pointers. I don't want to ruin them and also want to make sure they seal good after cuz right now they leak and get water inside. Thanks guys

I dont have an oven at work to bake them , use a heat gun lightly and a scraper to loosen them apart . Or you can just epoxy seal them . also check that the rubber around the light socket is not torn and sitting properly sometimes that all it is . And if you do bake them dont go over 250 degrees .

NO you do not need an oven to open the fog lights!
on the back of the light, there are 2 plastic "tabs" just take a flathead screwdriver, and GENTLY pry the tabs JUST ENOUGH and then pull the metal housing towards you.
the metal housing will be on a "hinge" located on the bottom.
the lamp will then "swing down, giving you access to the inside.
I just saw you posted this question a week ago, I really hope you didn't try to "bake" your fog lights in the oven.
the person above me in this post has no clue about how to open fog lights.

The '04 square fogs are different from the round ones in how they come apart. They come apart just like the headlights
