Re: Offroad lights
As long as they're all wired properly, your battery probably won't be an issue... unless you have all the lights on at the same time with the truck NOT running.
When the truck is running, your alternator takes over providing power to the accessories.
If you plan on running ALL those lights at the same time, it would be a good idea to upgrade the alternator & do the BIG 3 wiring upgrade too.

That was probably me
I think the optima's are made by Johnson mfg, who also make the MAXX batteries for wal mart & several other chain stores. I just couldn't justify spending that much on an optima, I could buy 2 or 3 MAXX batteries for the same price with a longer warranty.
My first MAXX battery lasted until the last couple days of the 9 year warranty. The previous one I had only lasted 3 years, and it would still start the truck but it struggled, but I got it pro-rated & only had to spend a fraction for another brand new one with a 3/9yr warranty.
The first thing I put on any vehicle is a new, bigger battery.

Re: Offroad lights

Re: Offroad lights
A quick search for BIG 3 will yield several posts. Basically it's upgrading the ground & power wires from the alternator to battery & battery to frame/body once you upgrade the alternator/battery for maximum performance.
10ga would be overkill even by my standards for fog lights I think the OEM fog lights only have 18ga - 16ga wiring.
I think 14ga would be plenty unless you have some extremely long runs to make.

Re: Offroad lights
I have my factory battery with 130,000 miles and I run 4 130w KC Daylighters and a
500w amp with no problem as long as the truck is running
