Yeah, my truck is brand new and everything has the temporary plate on the back.

I've driven my truck more paranoid recently and noticed more mistakes that people made that could have been terrible to happen to my Ranger.

I've also noticed that other cars and trucks try to race me off the line of a stop light.

Is this going to follow until I get a standard plate or does it come with the territory of a sport class truck?

I've also noticed people parking super close to my new truck making it hard for me to get into my truck once I come back.

Although maybe I'm just noticing more high-risk drivers and nuisances?

Brandon that is life with driving a vehicle. Sounds like you are in a very urbanized area...where you would expect things to be worse..including just less courtesy towards others. Move to a desolate part of Montana or Wyoming if you want to avoid that. Urban ghetto situation...the opposite...and everywhere in between. Why live where people are such as****es?

Ahaha that's funny! But I do have to say since I painted my truck pink, if park way far away, near no one or a giant wide open space and Come back... then blam-o! people just have to park right beside and there's space everywhere.

I think it's something to do with nice looking vehicles, like fly's on shit... They're just attracked.. 

That's why I haven't painted my truck, I know the day I do some jerk is going to bump into it or open a door or something stupid to cause damage.
I've thought about installing some 2' long spikes all the way around it (MAD MAX style) to keep people away from it.

I don't think the temporary plate doesn't have anything to do with it. Your truck being new you just want to protect your investment as much as possible.

Park far away from others
I do this also only to discover that cars zoom right by my new truck to go around to the next parking asile.

Park crooked taking up two parking spaces
They can't park next to you this way but here you may get a ticket for doing that. Although some do it anyway.

Don't follow traffice too closely. The vehicle may throw a stone and chip your paint Also don't allow someone in the next lane to drive right next to you going the same speed. Vehicles can throw a stone sideways. This actually happened to me right after I purchased my new '89 yota. A truck passed slowly in the left lane and his tire threw a stone busting out my drivers side window. My truck only had 500 miles on it and I haven't even made the first payment.

Can snow and ice scratch paint?
I broke off the 1/4" of ice crusted on top of the snow before removing the snow off my truck. Hopefully I didn't scratch my paint.

Ugh, why is that car following me too closley?
He could rear end me! Geez give me more room folks!

The affliction is pretty severe at first but slowly goes away after approximately four years.
