Re: A question about "rules" for a RWD Ranger
Why do you hope I dont see it?
It really doesn't matter it is your truck. However you will get more of a "ball busting" when your stuck in snow or mud with a 4X4 emblem on your truck.

In fact, a lot of people actually remove their 4x4 stickers, for a "clean" look.
also, having a 4x4 sticker on a 4x2 might make for some embarrassing moments out in the public:
(some guy) "Hey, nice 4x4! can i check 'er out?" You: "'er, ok" Guy: "hey, wheres the 4x4 control?" You: "er, it doesn't have one" Guy: "I thought this truck was a 4x4?" You: "er, It isn't" Guy: "Then why does it say "4x4" on it?" You: "er, because i thought It would be cool" Guy: "so your PRETENDING to have a 4x4....most people stop playing "Pretend" when they are about 7 years old"
|
HAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!! ...........i like the idea of the FX2 idea...wish i had thought of that myself I HATE the sport stickers...thinking about pulling them all together! but uh i say NO to the 4x4 ones..

Re: A question about "rules" for a RWD Ranger
Here's a pic of the cheap 4x4 emblem on my old Ranger, followed by a pic of the Ranger itself. Kind of a downer when you realize the truck isn't actually 4x4. Alot of people actually fell for it though.

Re: A question about "rules" for a RWD Ranger
the only positive side effect is getting through chain control without putting chains on, well at least over here... sometimes they put up CC waaaaay too early, it pisses me off.

Re: A question about "rules" for a RWD Ranger
Wow....just, wow.
I mean, if you're really going to do that, might as well go all out and get FX4 stickers. Then you can tell everyone you have one of the only single cab FX4's on the planet since you'll be on a lying kick anyway. How about a 5.0 badge while you're at it? Seriously, where do u draw the line? How about one of these to go under the 5.0 badge?

B/c I saw a previous post of yours that said something like "putting a 4 x 4 sticker on your truck makes you think you are cool, but you are really a tool". Or something similar to that. LOL
And you make a very good point. Case closed. I won't do it. I was just daydreaming about ideas.

Re: A question about "rules" for a RWD Ranger
i have a 3.0 and on my hood i put 4.0 SOHC. No one has even been able to tell unless i popped the hood. No one can tell by hearing it. i catch it so much from my dad but i love it. People tell me all the time that 4.0 sounds good lmao i say its your truck and who cares if it's a 2wd or a 4wd doesn't matter. you do what you want. Only way someone could tell if the get on there knees and look under the truck then if they do all that work they deserve to know its a 2wd lol

Re: A question about "rules" for a RWD Ranger
One of my mom's friends had a 90 Mustang LX HB way back when that had the 5.0 badges on the fenders. I rode in it a few times, trust me, that was NO 5.0. Unless it was only running on 4 cylinders!!

I had a friend custom make some fx2 stickers for mine...color matched and everything...the reason for that is because my little 2wd sees more off road time than most of the 4x4s around here...
