2010 Ranger Production
FRFs:
The numbers are in, thanks to the latest issue of Automotive News.
For 2010, Ford built 70,666 Rangers, a slight drop from '09's 73,625 total. To compare, only two Blue Oval models classified as trucks were made in fewer quantities: Expedition (51,295) and Flex (41,081).
While I don't have monthly or trim breakdowns, I do have the remaining RBV number: 2,395 Mazda B-Series trucks were for built for '10, up from 1,905 from two years ago.
For grins (or frowns), 439,066 F-Series trucks (not including Super Dutys or chassis) were built last year, up from 379,804 in '09. That's a shocker, I know.
BTW, this post once mentioned a Mountaineer incentive; I was wrong, as that was for dealers. There is a, however, a Ranger customer incentive of $2,500 and zero percent financing available through the end of the month.

Re: 2010 Ranger Production
sport trac is an explorer, so the numbers for actual Rangers sold are slightly less.

Re: 2010 Ranger Production
Where did you get the numbers from? How many 2010 Mazda B4000's did they make?

Re: 2010 Ranger Production
Machine: thanks for the correction...I totally forgot about Sport Trac being considered an Explorer. Of course, I also didn't know Explorers/Mountaineers haven't been RBVs for years!
ZX: Source is Automotive News (1/10/11), the weekly trade pub of the auto industry. I appreciate the Mazda mention, as I didn't remember that RBV, either! B-Series production for '10 was 2,395, up from 1,905 two years ago.

Re: 2010 Ranger Production
Thanks I tried to access the info on their site but I think it requires a paid account...
Interesting that the B series production went up for 2010 as it was only available in Canada vs the past years being available in US/Canada. Guess Canadian Mazda dealers wisely stocked up at the end of production.

Sorry, forget the Explorer/Mountaineer mentions; I thought they were still Ranger-based, but I've learned otherwise.

Yeah, AN is subscriber only (sorry I didn't mention that). I'm sorta in the biz, so I don't pay for the sub.
As for B-Series sales, I didn't think about that as I don't really pay much attention to Mazdas, but that makes sense. The data doesn't say what markets the units are for, just how many are built.
BTW, I posted Ranger sales data in another thread.

Re: 2010 Ranger Production
Here in Canada, I had found that there weren't very many dealer incentives from the Mazda Canada. If you want to save $$$, you would likely have purchased a Ranger vs. B series. Tons of the newer Rangers around town.

For me it was the opposite the two time I bought a truck 95 Mazda B3000 and this year 2010 B4000 it was way cheaper than I could get a Ranger for even with all the incentives that Ford was running which where big. This year it was really close but in 95 diff was huge.
