Wife's Ranger coming back to life!
Well my wife quit driving her 2000 Ranger 5 years ago. So its been taking a long knap in sunny South Florida. Now she tells me she is ready to drive again.
Lots of ranger repair after trying to start her.
Picked up the new battery. Wouldnt start so I dropped the fuel tank and saw how bad 5 year old gas really is. Fuel pump ruined and rotted off the fuel sender float.
Im replacing the pump today. Next weekend is the clutch and abs/speed sensor. Then new front sway bar bushing are on the list along with a new tailgate lock.
After all the mech repairs then I have to repaint the roof and hood because the clear coat gave up.
Oh yea one more thing is to install her brand new chrome skull with illuminated eye shifter knob picked out by our four year old grand daughter who really is the driving force for my wife.
The lil truck only has 70,000 mile but probably more damage has been done just sitting then being driven. It will. be great to get them both back on the road again. Its gonna be fun!

Ya always a good idea to drain fluids if it is going to sit for a long time.

New battery, plugs and wires. Still runs like crap so looking a little deeper we found 2 injectors not putting out. Thats a job for next week.

Re: Wife's Ranger coming back to life!
My loving wife has suffered from stress and anxiety attacks due to the loss of a number of family members in the last few years. Its been a real tough time but with the help of my 4 year old grandaughter she is doing much better.
This lil ranger will be used to pick up Clara Mae (grandaughter) from preschool while her mom and dad are at work.

Re: Wife's Ranger coming back to life!
Its coming along pretty well. Gotta pick up a couple of injectors this week and get them in and I think shes going to purr like a kitten. Hell I able to pull off the intake manifold of in about 5 mins now with all the practice this weekend. But I have really had a ball getting my hands dirty working on this old truck and my grandaughter told me its going to be a sweet hotrod for her grandma.I ok with that.
