My 2007 F-150 only got 14 mpg due to my mostly city driving. My Ranger is getting 21.7 mpg average mostly city.

There were a few people up from Minneapolis at our mod center where I've been working the last couple weeks, and it seems to be the consensus among them that there plant will stay open until 2012.
They say the reasoning as far as they've gathered for the shift to foreign markets is that the Ranger was imposing on domestic sales of full size trucks.
It's a truck that hasn't been advertised and sells itself, apparently a product line can be too strong? Marketing. I don't get it.

For me the Ranger isn't a question just about gas mileage it's about size... F150 is a HUGE truck like the rest of the full size trucks. I just don't want to be driving a huge truck day in day out... give me a Ranger Eco-boast

Make that x3, Some times a F150 would be nice but the Ranger is the right size,

The F150 is pretty ridiculous in size. A new F150 makes my 1980 F100, which used to be considered a full size truck, look like a Ranger.

really though, rangers sell well, and have basically zero company-backed advertising. its pretty much the smallest truck out right now, cheap parts, cheap to own, and the 2.3L gets excellent gas milage! It was either my ranger or a F150, i picked the ranger.

I signed up here pretty much just to respond to this...
You had better have a chat with the dealership you bought your truck from, because they lied to you. I just TODAY ordered a 2011 Ranger FX4, with all the options and exact colour I want and it will be built in 6-8 weeks. I'll be sure to show you pics when it arrives.
Sorry to hear you didn't get the colour you wanted.. I just ordered a dark grey one myself, FX4, 5 speed.

i dont find my f150 is too big infact its the perfect size, infact i found my ranger is too small that why i bought an f150, but i also have a reg cab ranger so that could have something to do with it, dont get me wrong i love my ranger but i also love my f150
