whats holding me back?

well me and my friends get a little competitive about vehicles. My friend just got a 2003 silverado reg cab 4.8l 4x4.... geting to 60 will take him bout 9 secs.

my best time so far was 9.232 secs, i have 03 ranger fx4 with 4.10 and 265/75/16 tires.

shouldn't a ranger in my setup be ~8.5? i wouldn't think a slightly bigger tire would kill the 0-60 y .7 secs... it also may of been under inflated tires. i guess i'll have to check it again.

and yes i understand i drive a truck and it is not a race car but in the summer we all love to go to the track on Wednesdays and do a 1/8th.

not the most accurate way. but me and my friend are gonna do gps timing.... we did in his celica and compared it to stopwatch timing... gps timing was more consistent and accurate

Disregard my post then lol. I thought you were timing this off the track. Your stopwatch it not accurate enough to be questioning a .7sec discrepancy. Just wait till the next Wednesday night and check it at the track.

Disregard my post then lol. I thought you were timing this off the track. Your stopwatch it not accurate enough to be questioning a .7sec discrepancy. Just wait till the next Wednesday night and check it at the track.

your prolly right... i'll jus have to wait till the track opens up in some months.

also, with your oversized tires, when your speedo says 60, you will actually be going a little bit faster

Just get a tuner
When I set mine to performance it is a completely different truck

this X1000 and untill you calibrate your speedo to account for the larger tires youre not getting a correct reading.
