Default Stolen tools

So i went to get in my vehicle and had a 204 piece craftsman tool set worth over $200, and somehow someone got into the vehicle and stole it , even better it was at my house

Does anyone know if craftsman has a warrenty on lost or stolen tools , or only damaged tools or certain pieces missing

I love the people that do this shit now a days , and i just found out i guess its easy to get into a ranger , any idea on how to fix that problem

do you have theft insurance? if so, call your insurance company and make them pay full value for the tools, they have a lifetime warrantee so they never depreciate.

I am pretty sure that car insurance won't cover anything that isn't bolted to the vehicle, but its worth a shot. Do you have homeowners or renters insurance?

Chances are that your deductible will be more than a new set of tools so it would probably make more sense to just buy a new set. I don't think Craftsman would cover theft either, its not really their problem someone stole your tools.

Craftsman for sure won't have anything to help you. Your best bet is your insurance but car insurance probably won't cover it. Mine told me if it's not "part of the vehicle" it falls under my homeowners insurance. The best part is homeowners insurance company told me since some of the items were vehicle related (ie: tire pressure gauge) those items weren't covered by them. Good luck!! At least all they got was the tools??

of course just checked with my insurance and i have a $500 deductible for stolen stuff , so it sucks cause it was only worth around $250 , and yes luckly it was only tools and nothing else

Or i could be an ahole and say my stuff was worth $800 but thats more thinking that because im very frustrated because now there gone , i love craftsman tools

Same here... after having about $400 worth of stuff stolen and a $500 deductible I now have a lower deductible and it was only like $20 a year more... WELL WORTH IT!!

Damn that sux. I've had my curent ranger broken into once. Took my premier head unit, and rockford p3's. My prev. ranger was broken into several times. They are really easy to get into. At least the tools were only craftsman, still expensive, but not too bad. You might wanna look into getting tool insurance. I used to have my snap-on box and tools insured. Couldn't imagine trying to replace 15 grand worth of tools. I've seen some guys start a new caraer after their tools got stolen, and they couldn't afford to buy new stuff.

im going to , but i would hope something like this wouldnt happen again , i mean it must have been done in the middle of the night and was in my driveway , frustrating cause now i gotta spend money thanks to some a hole that broke in

I know it could have been much worse , but i love my craftsman tools and now that there gone i feel incomplete , not serious but it still sucks that someone would do it
