My friend and i had been up in the logging roads above Foster Lake for most of the day just driving around muddy logging roads. When we finally decided to come home we were crusing down the road a little too fast. Came up on a tight corner and hit the brakes. So much mud was caked on that they didnt seem to work. We went up on the drivers side tires as we went around the corner. I bet if my friend had not been sitting next to me i would have rolled over and went straight down the 50+ foot bank into the lake. It was awesome!

I haven't had much snow this winter, so no scary driving stories yet lol.

Wish you americans would quit hogging all the snow

In the first week of december i was going to practice and i was going over the bridge outside of town when all of the sudden my truck started to slide at an angle to the opposite rail doing about 45 and i hit it and thought i was going to go over the rail in to the platte river at 5 a.m. In the morning and no one was around so i thought i was dead but instead my truck decided to play pinball and it ended up without a scratch on the truck.

easily the scariest moment is when i was goingdown a hill in the mountains w no phone signal. i went to pass these slow moving trailers and somehow (prolly from a bump in the road) i lost control of the rear for like 3 seconds (prolly got up to around 70 at the time) and i was running out of room and JUST as i recovered. there was a cop siting right there and i thought for sure id see flashing lights any second..

guess not! lol mustve thought i leanrned my lesson then (and i DID)

Into a curve on the highway at about 55mph. Whole road was dry but this curve had black ice on it. As if in a cartoon... truck spun 90 degrees to the right so I was facing the guardrail. Then spun back to the left and kept rotating until it went all the way around a full circle to facing forward again. I saw the center median jersey barrier, the traffic behind me. The guard rail again. Then I was facing forward again. That's 540 degrees of rotation. Came off the ice and stopped in the shoulder. Sat there for minute until I realized I would probably get hit by the next guy coming around that curve.

When I got to work a few minutes later, they said I was still pale and looked like I'd seen a ghost.

Scariest/coolest moment in the 1998 was drifting for fun and I turned the corner and gave it too much gas and almost hit a parked cruiser and ended up parked perfectly facing the cruiser in between it and another vehicle. Stuntman in my future..?

In the 2007 scariest moment was going 130 km/h on ring road and going over train tracks and my ass end swung out to the left and I thought I was a goner.

A few years ago I was driving and saw a couple of kids playing in the parking next to a couple of parked cars on the right side of the road. I was starting to slow down as the road makes a 90 degree turn to the left about 2 houses past the kids playing. I glanced to the left to look into the upcoming driveway and looked back at the center of the road. Next thing I remember is seeing the little boy, who was 6 or 7 at the time, dart between the parked cars and into the road. Him and I made eye contact at the same time. I slammed on the brakes, killed the truck and literally came within six inches of hitting him. Now, so noone assumes I was flying down the street, I was doing between 20 and 25 mph at the time i saw him in the road in front of me.

I restarted the truck and drove off as he didn't fall down or cry or anything like he had been hit. I drove around the next block that I could and drove back by to make sure everything was okay. The boys mom came out and I talked to her and she told me that he stood where he stopped for about 30 seconds after I drove away. I asked if he was okay...the mom said he was in is bedroom crying cuz evidently I scared the bejesus out out of him. (She could tell that it scared the bejesus out of me too.)

She wasn't mad about what happened as the boy never looked before he darted between the cars and into the street and she said this will be a good lesson for him.

That look of sheer terror on this boys face and how he just froze will be stuck with me forever.
