Ford Ranger Thunderbolt?
tboltintro.jpg I saw one of these yesterday and had no idea there was such a thing. It looked amazing. It would be a lot nicer if they would do like dodge does with the dakota and have a V8 package, with a 5.0 or 5.4. Anyways has anyone ever seen one of these before?

I see one driving around here pretty regular. It looks exactly like the one in the pic.

Re: Ford Ranger Thunderbolt?
There was a Ranger with the 5.4. It was basically a Ranger Lightning. Wasn't available to the public though. I think it was a one-off.
Here's some pics...

Re: Ford Ranger Thunderbolt?
Thats awesome. I wish they would come out with one with a 5.4.
The one I saw yesterday didn't look too bad. It had a few different mods than it came with from the factory.

The Ranger Thunderbolt was built by SLP in 2002 and 2003 model years as a limited production Ranger conversion. It is based off a 2WD XLT with either a 3.0 or 4.0. All had a body styling kit plus other available options like a handling package, other styling add-ons, tire/wheel upgrades and minor breathing mods for the engine. The post production conversion was completed in Kentucky by SLP but sold through Ford dealers as a new truck with a full Ford warranty.

Re: Ford Ranger Thunderbolt?
^I looked it up on that website before I posted the thread. All it is is a body kit, decals, and cold air intake. I just thought the one I saw with H.I.D.'s and the billet grill looked good. It wasn't as bad as those pics. I just wish they would take ones like that ranger lightning and release it to the public. That will probably never happen.
My 3 favorite trucks will probably never happen either. I wish they would make a Ranger Lightning, Ranger Raptor, and I wish Chevrolet would come back out with the two door Tahoe. Before I get hounded, I had a '99 two door Tahoe and loved it. It looked good, was 4wd, and had more than enough power. I love both Chevy and Ford. I think they both have their pros and cons. It is just a Chevy I really love. I also found a pic of what a new one would look like.

Re: Ford Ranger Thunderbolt?
Looks pretty dam cool. I like the rims it has on it. And the 5.4 is damn sexy.
