That is awesome! I wonder how the durability of it is...? You could really get some serious flex if you had that in some something built. A true front independent suspension, with a wish bone setup there would be NOTHING connecting each side to one another.....just imagine the flex you could get with a setup like that and you could keep your truck level at all times!

How about that setup on all 4....? that thing would be like a spider!

Actually I don't think you could get much flex with that. If there was a lot of flex it would put a lot of force on the drive shaft and probably break it.

Looks like how cars were drawn in Dr. Seuss books.
My guess is that if AWD was offered as an option on a vehicle that is made for the majority as a REAR wheel drive with a conventional type transmission, it wouldn't be feasible to transverse the engine only in the AWD versions so that simpler CV joints could be used with a front wheel drive trans/PTU.
Especially if it was a trial option.

another ? would be how it responds when turning, with one side spinning faster than the other, how does that work with the trans/trans case and the drive shafts...? Also, would those diffs even be considered as open/locked/L/S...?

I'd like to see the inside of the diffs to see how they compare or differ from conventional diffs.
