It may be hard to find one with 4.10 gears
U can expect around 25mpg you could get up to 30 with a 5 speed

I don't know about the 08s but when I was researching my 09 Ranger, most all the 4cyl autos had 4.10s & the 4cyl 5spd manuals had 3.73s .
I wanted the 5spd with 4.10s but couldn't find one. Only with the auto did I find alot with 4.10s.

Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

Hey guys !

Very Appreciate your helps and for the charts.. ( i print now )

Why Snowballs you want a 4.10 ? Me , want a 3.73 , mostley of my ride is on highway ..

proboly tow a small aluminium boat . sometimes !!!!..

what do you think the difference between a 3. 73 and a 4.10 on gaz mileage at 60mph

Gaz is very expensive here in Canada !
( sorry for my english , im a french Canadian )

Thanks again for your information !

Russs

If you drive with a light foot the MPG would be better in town with 4:10s & a little worse on the hiway.

I wanted 4.10s for the pulling power & most of my driving is in town.
I am happy so far though with the 3.73s

Have you tow anything yet with your Ranger? I haven't yet myself, but then I have nothing to tow! LOL

I'm thinking of getting (or rent) a pop up camper and go up north some time next year.

hay i got 493 miles on first tank of gas with 4:10 s in the rear but i drive like a grand pa if i get just one more ticket that no more license for me and that would suck and as for towing i think its like 4000 was gvwr so your truck ways in at 2000 or so that leaves 2000 or so but look it up on New Cars, Used Cars, Blue Book Prices & Car Values - Kelley Blue Book they have all the specks on your truck

Towing capacity varies big time depending on 2 or 4 wheel drive, engine, and trans.
