Default Is this normal?

2011 1 month old and my rear differential and rear axel are rusted. doesnt seem like it should already be rusting. the back side looks ok its just the front side and the drive shaft.

Have you been doing alot of offroad?

You could have hit stuff that scratches it and let's the rust on it when you don't wash it off or dirty water gets on it and dries.

no 4 weeling yet only driven in the snow once

seal it, 3M aerosol bedliner works really well, find at any parts store

Maybe because of the salt they use in yer area for melting the snow?

off course salt itīs bad to your truck wildland.
Do the same as i do in the summer i give to mine a good washin the under parts with hot water and then i gave her a product called here by Parafina itīs oily and made with petroleun and it takes all the noisses from the shocks and protect my ranger from winter

I dunno if they have Rust Check or even Krown in PA, but if they do it's a good investment imho. My '98 F150 didn't have a spec of visible rust.

i would go bitch to ford honestly, cause salt or anything else for that matter shouldnt be rusting through paint and all that other stuff in a month...

yeah that is my plan, i shouldn't see any rust yet, the rest of the underbody looks good, the diff, driveshaft and axels should not be all rusted yet! my 1990 didnt have that much rust on the diff. I was going to take care of it when weather got better but with a bumber to bumber warranty why should I
