Default My Ranger Project

I starting my ranger project and need some help with some of my ideas. I have a stock 2005 ranger edge, 3.0l v6. I do not want to do too much, im looking to keep it some what modest. First i want to have the engine breathing alot better so new air intake and exhaust. Second, i want to put general at2s but dont what rims to get. Third is whether or not to put a shell on it. This has been causing me some trouble. I do ALOT of outdoors stuff; camping, surfing, fishing, diving, etc.. I have many questions about a shell: is the added "security?" does it really help with gas mileage? will it help with 2wd in the rain? Almost done..... Id like new bumpers but am worried some ive look at will make it look too modified, would it be better to get a bull bar? and lastly, lights, id like 3 at the grill and atleast 2 up top. im not too sure how to go about this. Ive seen set ups i liked but the manor of how the lights were set up would conflict with any surf racks i put on a shell if i got a shell. if i didnt get a shell i know exactly what i would do.

Getting a shell definatly makes it hard to deal with the lights I always wanted to get a roll bar and mount lights on it. I hate driving around with my cap on and I hate the way it looks but I couldn't live without it. When I'm at school I use it to store stuff like all my bike parts and my hockey equipment, and I'm into camping and fishing too. I'd definitely recommend getting a shell and if you get one you can get rod holders, I have mine mounted on the ceiling and they hold 4 rods.

Heres a link for the rod holders...http://www.basspro.com/Berkley-Twist.../15992/-261276

Good old Bass Pro. Ive looked there, and at Cabelas. I ordered an LMC Truck magazine just for kicks and found some things i like. If i got a shell i think im gonna get a leer because the local dealer can do a linex liner, which will match me bed, which i really like, and they can match the color, my ranger is sonic blue.
