I want a diesel so I'm thinking of trading in my ranger 4x4 4.0 ltr as a down payment for a 2500 dodge diesel 4x4.

Don't be like every other diesel nut in america with a 2500 Dodge, get a Ford or a GM

I agree, but every ******* diesel owner has one, or a Super Duty that requires a step ladder and a oxygen mask for entry

well I"m not into jacking the truck up to were I would need a step ladder to get in! - 16" or 20" wheels is fine. The guy at work has a F250 7.3 about 3' up and gets just 16 mpgs with no mods I dont understand that! - the bottom line on diesels they need to BREATH! for power, mpgs and TQ #s to goes up.

Lol you got it Pedro! I want one, but I just can't justify a big diesel pickup like we can get here. If GM, Ford, or Dodge had continued with plans for a half ton diesel engine line, I'd have bought one. Or even better, like the rest of the world, BRING THE US A DAMN DIESEL RANGER!!! I also have a GMC Sonoma (Chevy S10, Isuzu Hombre, and what ever else they call them through out the world or brand) that I'd love in a diesel, you can get those in Brazil and I know in the South Pacific, I just want one here!

I'd say so! Change your glow plugs out for sure, also check, since I don't know your diesel at all, and make sure that if it has a grid heater that it is working properly as well. You also may want to go ahead and service the truck entirely, do the filters and fluids.

well my truck makes all the services in Ford and next time i go there itīs time to change gear box and transmission fluids.
Ithink that the problem perhaps isnīt in the plug but in a injector cause it starts working imediatly but in a irregular way i put a product to clean the injectors in the diesel tank and iīm going to wait to see if it works.
i`ll keep you informed
