Re: Break In 2011
Drive it like you would normal but change the oil at around 500, 2000, 5000 miles and then start the 5000 mile interval between changes. Cars today are built with such close tolerances that you don't really have to do anything special to break them in.

Re: Break In 2011
I would. The first two oil changes are because as the engine wears in you can get some metal flakes rubbing off into the oil. Chances are it won't bother anything, but it's best to be on the safe side with two extra oil changes to start.

Ditto!
I changed mine at 1010 miles (1625k) using my first free oil change. I plan on changing it again at 3010 (4844k) then from there at regular oil change intervals between 3000 (4828) and 5000 miles (8046k).

Re: Break In 2011
There is really no need to change the oil at 200, 500 or 2,000 miles. That is not necessary unless you have money to waste. Also, oil in most new cars have extra 'moly' additive to assist in breaking-in metal parts. Moly is an anti-wear additive present in all oils. Changing your oil so soon, gets rid of this important break-in additive in your oil.
But then again, it's up to you.
(These old wive's tales need to be exposed).

Re: Break In 2011
I wonder how much money PM got paid by Mobil to write that BS. Change the oil after 20 miles??? Right. I'll make you a deal. Send the money you would normally spend on all this extra pointless oil to me instead. I'll put it to better use!
