drive it normally and change the oil according to the ford maintenance schedule.

FordDude,
The filter holds some oil and if the engine was cold when you put the oil in, you need to give it time to get to the pan.

That Popular Mech guy is a complete idiot!!!! WTF?
Change the oil after 20 miles so you can get the chunks of plastic out?!!?
The occasional nuts and washers will come out too?!!!??

get an oil change wehn its convenient for you .. anywhere from 5000 to 25000 miles..

don't matter

OIL IS GOOD FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE

I drove my 95 and 10 the same way as I break in my bikes. Rob Muzzy bike builder suggested... A few short drives allowing the engine to cool between drives and varying speed and building speed and engine load and rev's. Is it needed? Probably not but as I'm broken in all my motors this ways and never issues and they're always strong for the breed on the dyno (bikes) I'll keep doing it
