Just Wondering

As I drove home tonight I was counting what gear my 5 speed auto just shifted into. Is it just me, or do others with auto's feel the shift into the next gear from1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5.

ive driven autos already that you cant feel the damn thing shift haha...my dads fusion is like that along with explorers and f150s

i wish i could feel mine more. if i'm going easy on the throttle up a grade, it takes forever between the 1-2 (2-3?) shift, from what i understand the factory allows some slip between the gears to soften the shifts, and i hate it. my buddie's '98 B3000 has a reman. 4 speed auto, and it just pop's into gear, nice 'n firm feeling, no slip between gears

When i had my trans rebuilt i had the shop put in a shift kit, (trans-go i think it was) and it shifts fast and firm, also it seems to handle towing duty better.
