Is this a good deal? 2007 FX4 Level II (pic)
I'm in the market for a bit newer Ranger than my '99....
Ran across a 2007 FX4 Level II, 4.0L...black, leather interior, with the cool Ford Alcoa Wheels, some new BFG All Terrains...black with grey rockers and flares...Clean as can be.
It has 115K miles on it, but it's a 1-owner with a squeaky clean car fax. Someone must have commuted with it over the last 3-4 years and drove the piss out of it.
Sticker is 11,750....and I think I can talk the dude down a little.
For you Ranger gurus out there, is that a square deal?
Thanks!

Looks NICE! I'd try 8k, but if that doesn't work try 9k.

I agree with smakes. My 03 only has 44K on it. That's quite the mileage for the age. How squeaky clean is the carfax? Any maintenance records showing up?

This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.

and a clean carfax means nothing, i had a carfax print out for my truck and it showed it had no accidents and it only had one owner, im the 3rd owner, and in my more stupid days as a new driver, i involved it in 3 accidents lol

This is another question that people could argue with until the end of time, but what IS "normal" or "typical" mileage a year for a vehicle? I've always felt that approx. 12K a year is normal mileage.

I guess the price will depend on if you have cash or not....? You walk into that dealership with 90 $100 bills, you'll probably drive it home.
Its like trying to negotiate with cash and check, the cash will talk better than a check.

Re: Is this a good deal? 2007 FX4 Level II (pic)
Thanks for all the replies...
I looked at the KBB values and they seemed a little high. The only thing that really concerns me is the miles. I'd be putting $4K-5K down and would have a little note on the rest until it was paid for.
My '99 has 150K on it and is going strong....sucking gas lol....but going strong. Tranny hits hard and will probably go at some point, but she's still kicking. I've got a good friend who is in a spot, so I'm basically giving my '99 to him for a song.
This '07 would be my daily commuter (10 miles round trip), bad weather driver, going fishing machine, and all-around keep my mustang out of the crud truck.
It is definitely a clean ass truck, and I freaking love the look.
Oh yeah, and the only thing on the Car Fax is the original sale to the original owner, and yearly registration renewals. That's it.
