Default Hydrolocked my truck

Went off roading, hit a mud puddle, problem was that my friend went in first and dug it up. I got stuck in the holes and didn't get my engine off in time. Bent a push rod and spun a bearing. Bright side is I'm going to get a brand new engine 2010 engine from Ford since I can't find a used one that has close enough mileage to my truck for the year. If it wasn't so exspensive I would've thought about the V8 swap. Definitely last time I do that.

Yeah, it only had 60k on it, so it was sad to see it go, but at least everything about the truck is new enough that it doesn't need to be replaced to handle a new engine

Yea mine has 70,000 and I thought I was going to need to replace my engine but as of right now I don't think I have to. I'd love to take mine muddin but I'm too scared of doing something like that. I just stick to splashing through creeks and messing around in muddy feilds and stuff.

Yeah, my advice. Definitely not worth it. Even if I had made it through, that little bit of excitement isn't worth risking 4,000 dollars for a new engine.

Agreed. I have a few friends that like to hit the deep stuff in stock trucks. I laugh when they get stuck, cause I can just imagine the water entering through all the holes it can get through.

Sucks to hear you went out just once and it happened to you. It has yet to happen to any of my buddies, which really surprises me.

It was a sad day for sure. I had two hours of wait time for the tow truck to sit in the bed and think about all the good times I've had with that truck. Right then and there I decided there was no way I could let it die.
Now I'm just excited to get it back with its new engine all installed.

So you know how it really sucks when something bad happens at the time, but then you look at the pictures later. Its really freakin hillarious. I'll never forget what the Ranger officer said "So I drive back here every once in a while and I'm always suprised at what I see and this is no exception. You got on truck stuck in the mud, 4 guys standing outside the mud with one guy swimming in it in his boxers to try and get it out. Classic"

I get it back today. Decided instead of getting a brand new motor from Ford I'd get a used one to save some money. This engine luckily is still newer and has less miles than mine had. It only has 40k on it. I'm so excited to get my truck back, first thing I'm doing is taking it to a car wash to have it cleaned and the carpets scrubbed since I got a decent amount of mud in the cab.
