Default Bed linners

what is the general opinion of bed linners, do they rust the bed after years? should they be taken out to clean the bed every so often? any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
Dewking

if you have a drop/slide in one and live in a wet area then yes to all. spray/piant on no to all.

drop in / slide in is the type that eather drops in from the top or slides into the bed with the tailgate down. same as what i have. i personally havint seen them rot terrable where i am in PA, and it keeps the bed from getting dented and the paint in the bed from getting scraped up, which always seems to cause more rust & rot quicker IMO.

still a good idea to yank it out over the summer and wash the bed & let it dry in the sun to get any salt out from under it though, especially if you run an open bed.

The drop-in liner my truck came with was an over-the-rail design that had actually worn completely through the paint in a couple places at the rear corners of the bed. I replaced it with a spray-in quickly.
