Rangers becoming more popular than they use to be?
I notice quite a few more on the road than I did years ago, before I bought my ranger. My granfather has a f100 ranger, wqhich is what drove me to get one of my own.
I see many more in the school parking lot than I did when I started. Many have an aftermarket stereo, Euro lights, custom exhaust or something on them. Gatlingburg had a few nice rangers in town the other day. I notice theres more coming in than use to be, especially during car shows and rod runs in the Forge.
I also got destroyed by a Thunderbolt on the interstate going home a week ago. That thing was a beast...
Is anyone else noticing more Rangers out there, especially custom ones? Or have I just not been noticing?

i have seen a couple of custom rangers around latly. i saw a 4 door, like full 4 door fx2, this tricked out edge, and a yellow stx
that 4 door one was insane, never thought i would see one in person haha, maybe it was an illusion

I've noticed them too, but for me I think it has more to do with that now I own one. At the same time with the economy a lot of people are deciding they don't need that three quarter ton gas guzzling beast they owned that they never use the full potential on.

I don't think that they are necesarily more popular, but just that they are good truck with dependable drive trains. So as time goes on you tend to see more on the road, simply because they are outlasting their counterparts.

This happened to me with each car/truck I purchased, I started noticing more of a car or truck as I owned one.

Re: Rangers becoming more popular than they use to be?
^^ Same here ^^
I now have a bad habit of counting how many Rangers I've seen. I count upwards of a dozen or more on my short trips. Not many customized ones though.

Re: Rangers becoming more popular than they use to be?
I have never seen another F100 Ranger Lariat in my town, and i've only seen two Brown/Beige 80-86 Ford trucks in my town.
However, I've seen 564,739,393 Rangers, an 1/8 of which have been white Edge models. They're all over my town.

I've thought the same over the years. Your average driver also is too busy texting or whatever to notice such.

Re: Rangers becoming more popular than they use to be?
I believe I agree with many people in that they may not need a big truck and need the fuel economy of the ranger. I have seen many rangers in my area too and I have been getting comments and even offers from other people for my ranger!

Re: Rangers becoming more popular than they use to be?
Yeah when I owned my old vw mk2 golf I noticed more on the road.
But yeah there are alot of rangers here. To most people round here though sadly they are just transportation
