Well you could get one of these. The 250cc motor should give good gas mileage and room for a passenger is a good thing because you could put a Kersene heater in that spot instead in the winter.

Lol, as if trikes aren't unstable enough. With that being so tall and thin you would probably wipe out going around a corner at anything over 5 mph.

single cylinder engine with a volume of 3 cubic inches? I will never gripe about my gas mileage ever again. I promise.

It's been produced for the best part of 50 years now. 1st sold in Italy in post WW2 ravaged Italy (where it is made)..long since became popular in poor developing countries where the buyer can't afford something larger..so it has a market for a long time to come. And people whine here about not being able to buy more STUFF.

x2 I like ranger, because they are economical and actually look like a truck. It give you the mpg's of a car with a somewhat of a manly look, unlike the focus, camry, altima, malibu, or ect.

Utes are built to be cars, they can look and perform great, but don't expect to be able to use them as a part-time truck.

Plus i wouldn't like to drive them in the snow.

As far as the ranger being economical, my truck drinks like a V8..

All those that want to drive a car that looks like a truck, drive a Chevy, or Dodge. Don't want a big truck? Get a Ranger. Those that want a real truck, stick with Ford. But the Ford Falcon(Aussie), NASTY. It's still a car and I want a TRUCK. I'll stay with the Ranger for Life.

i will always have a compact truck on hand, but im sure that someday ill find a need for a bigger truck with more tow capacity. ive already decided to get a ranger 4x4 project and then a full size pickup prolly the 250 mostly stock for other needs like when i have kids.....
i think that ford will be losing devoted ford customers if they get rid of the ranger

I downsized due to gas . I won't go back up until I see what Gas is doing . Right now gas is goin up and no signs of coming down. I've had small medium and large trucks so its all about comfort and gas . My new 2010 Ranger is a great little truck and I 'm glad it was there . I looked at the chevys and dodges , Had a dodge and didn't like it in todays trucks , but was not willing to buy a toyota yet either .Nothing else appealed to me . Almost bought the F150 4WD , it was a little bigger than my Dodge 1500 . I liked it but I travel over a hundred miles to work every day . 16 K on the new truck so I figured I would save a little gas this time around . Perfect size for me to move small stuff on the weekend , snowblower , tractor etc . But not too big to worry about parking either ...... I love traveling in the Ranger as its not too big and not too small , although I miss the Ram as it was REAL comfortable on long trips as it had plenty of cab space ( extended cab )

I used to have an 86 Dodge Ram before I got my B-Series. I loved that truck, thing was a tank, but it drank gas like no tomorrow. But really now that I have my little one, I dont see why i every needed one that big in the first place, one, its only my 1st vehicle, and when I had the Dodge I wasnt even driving yet (thing was also a rust bucket and a money pit). But that said, Ill always have a compact around, I love this thing, and I can always swap with my father for a day or two with his f-350 if i need anything bigger.

GM already faded out the mid size Colorado and Canyon. Dodge is supposed to keep their Dakota alive and even offer a diesel version as well as a Fiat gas motor sometime in the near future.

I would like to see Ford offer a Ranger Raptor or something along the line of a smaller Raptor. I don't see Ford fading out the Ranger anytime soon.

As far as that Aussie thing... does anyone remember the Subaru Brat?

Just got a email from ford, and I gotta say all three automakers have their heads in the sand. Because they don't cars what the people want in the USA I would like to see a diesel ranger here! but they say that will take $$$ from the 3/4 -1 tons I say BS make it happen!. Also why cant they give better MPGS to pick ups today? 4x2 get in the 20s but 4x4 suffres with 16 18 and they have the know how today! but even the new ranger has crappy MPGS in 4x4 and 4x2 for a small piock up.

Those things were ugly. When I was in high school a kid had one who had the jump seats in the bed.
