I am a newbie here and my first question is to ask about using Sea Foam. Does it work or why I should't use it.

Yes it works cleans the engine out of the carbon and crap

WHen you do it the more smoke u have the more crap u had in there

Remember change oil after doing it

^^ My understanding is that you only need to change the oil if you put the seafoam in the oil. I don't think you need to change the oil if you put it in the intake or the fuel tank.

To the OP, I've only heard good things about seafoam...

I think it is a GREAT product. I Seafoam all my vehicles once a year. Helps them running like new. Nice smooth idle & acceleration.

I've heard thee is the potential to do damage if you do things wrong. Otherwise I've only heard good things about it. As far as the oil goes, I'd just do it at the time you were planning to change the oil anyway.

Yes it can cause damage if done wrong

some people I know have had spark plugs go after doing it.

U can pour it into 3 diffrent spots

Gas tank
Brake Booster line
Where you pour oil in at

in my experience, seafoam does the most good when introduced through the vacuum system, near the intake manifold, like STL said. put the vac line in the bottle and turn some R's, lots of them.

oh and i hope you're on good terms with the neighbors.

^X2 depending on how bad your engine is your neighbors may end up calling 911 they tend to smoke really good the older they are with more miles
