Angry Slipping in the rain.

First time I've had the chance to drive my new truck in the rain. Handles great, but whats with the take off? My last truck didnt slip at all when I took off, this one, I feel like a barely tap the gas and it slip? Maybe its just me.

It may be your tires. I have the same truck as you and I do not have this problem

i say it 's tires, i don't have abs brakes so they lock up on this certian intersection down the road from my house when it's like drizzleing rain, which makes it like black ice. only time my tires don't stick to the road, and i even have decent wide tread, but just a street tire.

I don't know what you've got as far as transmission, motor or gears, but I can tell you that I have the same problem with my truck. My setup is a 4.0l V6 with 4.10 LS rear and a 5 speed transmission. Even with BFG A/T's, which are supposed to be good in the rain, my truck still goes sideways in the rain most of the time.

Your last truck may have had more weight in the rear, or less power to the rear wheels, better tires, etc... You could try adding weight over the rear axle with sand or concrete blocks and see how that works for you. Personally, I just deal with it, try to limit the power I give from the skinny pedal (at times ) and throw it into 4x4 at bad intersections where I don't have the option to let the rear tires slip.

Mine was TERRIBLE with my stock tires and got a little better with my new ones but it still happens a lot... slippin' is a great feature when you live in the PNW... lol
