Default lights on with remote

I have a question?
2010 XLT. when I lock (key fob) my truck the front turn and brake light flash (thats fine) but when I unlock (key fob) only the dome light comes on and stays on untill I turn the key or wait 3 or 4 min.
is there a way to make the front and back lights turn on as well? most new cars do but the Ranger dosen't?

My Ranger doesnt do that either. I was thinking the same thing the other night but It may be alot of wiring trouble to go through for something so little. I think the lights blinking and not blinking is a function that you can tell the difference between unlocking and locking

makes sence, like I said in my intro the Ranger is an out standing Truck, but it comes so plain. even with all the extras its still pretty plain compaired to even the Focus (wifes car) SYNC, MPG counter, style int lighting ect...

I'm looking at the Gentx auto dim with tem/compass rather then the OHC for my first MOD. also do you know the wire color at the fuse box for the light switch (on) might tap in for style lighting one day.

Just be glad your lights blink when you hit the remote... mine don't do squat to let me know if it's locked or not.
Mine does, however turn on the dome lights when it unlocks the door(s), which I find quite handy.

One of these days, I'm going to get my led strips installed under the body so that they come on with the dome light.

That was the first thing I noticed when I got my truck and the one feature that I miss from my 2007 F150.

Me 3....

My 07 mustang had that & I miss it on the ranger.

Put that minor detail on the long list of stuff Ford puts on their other vehicles but leaves off the Ranger.

And they wonder why sales numbers on the Ranger is declining.
