Default A tip to anyone using a ford bedliner on newer rangers....

a month ago i took my 2010 xl ranger to ford dealership to have a new ford over the rail bedliner put in. all was good off the dealer brand new bed liner and stuff.... about a mile I drive off the fasetners start to rattle loose one and then two... I was like WTF.... so I get my screwdriver and tighten them down,,, I get home and the other ones get loosee... I was like HMMMMMM WTF.... So I just went to home depot and bought some course thread screws and screwed them to the bedliner through the black plastic (there are small holes in the black plastic fasteners) fasteners after thightening the fasteners....

Either ford dealerships dont install the included screws (if any) or ford does not include those screws to keep the plastic fastners from backing out and rattling loose. Most new rangers with a ford bedliner are missing the round black fastners.....

Maybe somene will use this tip before they loose the black plastic round fastners....

Before I had my rhino line i had the same drop in. Mine actually had pilot holes in it for securing the plastic screw down. Securing it is a must I have seen so many of those things on the side of the highway lol

hmm, are these fasteners only for over the rail? My 04 had a ford factory under the rail liner that was really just a drop in. had nothing extra holding it in. just took a little muscle to get it out.
