Default Hear about the new 2011 Incentives?

Anyone else hear that you can get a new 2011 Ranger for only $250 a month? I'm thinking it's only gonna be a base model though. But that's not bad for a brand new vehicle.

Yea, i mean if you go to build and price your own on fordvehicles.com, 2011 ext 4door sport 4x4 with a 4.0L with all the fixens is around 23k. which depending on your rate it's about 330 a month. Still not bad. I also read they are having a 0% for 72 months. but you have to qualify.

2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4x4 (no options):

Here (ford.ca), it's 24550 tax in, because of a 4k rebate, or 470$/m. I did a quote on your site and came up with 26745$ for the same model. The only rebates i saw on the us site were 1500$ customer cash and 1000$ of promotional retail bonus customer cash, or low apr financing. They couldn't be combined together.

All the fixens would jack up the price in a hurry, if i didn't have incentives, my 2010 4x2 would have been more expensive than current 4x4s.

The incentives goes off the third of Nov.
Here is my post from "Rangers are no longer being made..
I posted yesterday.

4x4, 4L, 5auto, supercab 4dr.
Well I finally got my 2011 Ranger. Long story, but the short of it
is I went to another dealer and got the same one as I listed,
except without the remote start and heavier suspension/shocks.
Deal was good. 2500 off list, 2500 rebates, 3.9 interest, and
I was allowed 5300 for my truck. And one last thing, the dealer
is painting my camper to match my new Ranger, at no cost.
I think this deal would be very hard to top!

My new Ranger lacked remote start, bedliner, cd changer,
Rancho shocks and the chrome package and flared fender
covers. Listed for 28,135 at the build your Ford.
Personally I thought it was a good price as I've never seen
4000 bux for Ranger discounts....

A good way I found is to search around on the net , like edmunds.com and other dealer sites to start with and find who has rangers available . After looking at F150's for a while , I got mine for 23 ,800 with a 2000.00 reduction from the dealer back in May , so I paid 21,800 . Mine was the XLT 4W drive with remote start and the chrome package . I have a CD player as well . I put a nice tonneau cover , bug deflector , window shades ( not getting wet when I open the window in the rain ) , and I am herculinering the bed . Don't settle for what they tell you as you can beat them a little bit . If they don't move , then find another dealer .... Also , get the Lowest finance rate you can , go to a credit union or a bank and shop around . Dealers will send you to their folks and try to give you the highest rate . Even bad or no credit , you can do decent .

Hope this helps ....

2011 deals are not going to be very good at this time of year. If you want NEW a 2010 starting Dec - April can be found with exceptional close-out pricing. Ford offers big kick backs to the dealer to clear their lot for the new year models. The savings can be huge, up to $5,000 and maybe even more. High volume dealers may not advertise those savings, smaller dealerships will advertise those savings in Feb, Mar, as they get desperate to make space for new models.

If you are going to buy new it pays to shop like crazy, and study online how to buy new to take advantage of every possible way to lower the purchase price.

Who knows what will happen after the production run for Ranger 2011 starts to move and availability becomes an issue. There may be some kind of collectors value to the final year Rangers are made who knows. Many think that there will be no collector value to Rangers in general because so many were produced. My comeback is the same could have been said about the Model A Ford, yet 20 years later they were a much wanted collector vehicle. BTW I owned a model A with a chevy 283 and 2 spd hydro shift tranny, cool car when your a senior in high school, girls loved the rumble seat.

Quote:
From Edmunds.... End of the Model Year: As the new cars begin to arrive, last year's model loses its luster and also its high price. There are some surprising discounts and often a lot of customer cash rebates. Be sure to check Edmunds.com's Incentives & Rebates for customer cash rebates, low interest incentives and dealer cash.

End of the Car's Design Cycle: The manufacturer is going to continue making a certain model car, but it is about to introduce a completely redesigned car under the same name. Now we're seeing some serious discounts. True, you are buying a car that is essentially outdated and out of fashion, but some people are more bargain hunters than they are trendsetters. Here, the savings will be huge, especially for the buyer that trolls information from Edmunds.com's Incentives & Rebates.

End of the Car's Lifecycle: Sometimes the manufacturer announces that the car will be discontinued forever. Now we're talking off-the-charts savings. But there are two problems: you've got a car that will plummet in the depreciation category and you'll have to keep fielding questions like, "Didn't that car get the axe?" from friends and relatives.

yea, i agree with just about everything that was said. but the reason the prices range on the ford sites is because of the different standards of living across the country. and i work at a dealership, so the reason last year models prices are so good is because usally (in most cases) there aren't that many left, so the dealer really isn't losing much if anything. they are just hard to find. good ones anyway.

I personally recommend buying used cars because new cars depreciate in value sooo much once they are driven off the lot.
