Rangers don't beat Stangs unless by accident, theft
or the Stang driver lets the Ranger win. Even the
lower powered Stangs have some ommph...
but the name that really suits them is "Pocket
Rockets" There just ain't much out there concerning
regular production vehicles that is gonna outrun
a 8 cyl Stang and some of the sixes ain't bad.
However I do like fooling people. Nobody takes a
Ranger driver seriously at the stoplight. But the
big 4L does have just enough oomph to fool'em on
take off if they ain't paying attention.
The Supercab Rangers are really good cruisers
though. They ride and drive good on long trips.
And they are stable at high speeds. On long trips
I consistently drove mine at the max governed
speed of 92 mph for miles and miles.
Rangers are not Rockets, not even Jets. Speed
limiters also makes sure of that. Dunno if all
models have them though?
