Default Adding newer 05 up steering wheel to older ranger.

I've been doing a little research on adding a 2005 style steering wheel to my 2000 ranger. According to some part crossings the steering column is the same from 98-2005 maybe even newer models. If this is so the spline for the wheel is the same. From photos the column shroud looks almost identical so there shouldn't be any weird gaps. The only thing I worry about is the cruise control connectors to the clock spring.

If anyone would like to help me on this, or already confirm that this works that would be awesome.

If you guys with some 05-up rangers ever have your air bag taken out, would you please take some pictures of your cruise control switch connectors, that goto the clock spring.

I will be checking junkyards later in the next few weeks. If I have confirmation I will do a write up.
