By far, this has to be the most retarded thread I have EVER read on lighting...
STUPIDHEAD11: if your going to ask for advice, fucking take it. Don't be a douche to the people giving advice. They were absofreakinglutely correct about a lot of the wiring stuff.
anyways, getting to the important info that you really want (and should pay close attention to)

I upgraded the fuse also. can my old fog light system maintain 510W? cuz it is right now but for how long, i blew the 20 fuse and put in a 25 just wondering if any electrical geniuses out there

Yes, I am an electrical genious. and those purpleass aftermarket fog lights 1: look gay 2: are WAY to expensive for the lack of light output..

Fuses are there for a reason. To protect the electrical system from getting too much current for the wiring, switches, and relays to handle. if you put an 80A fuze on a system only meant to handle 20A, your wires will get extremely hot, melt through, short out on eachother, sparks will start flying due to electrical arcing, and you could start a fire, have the battery explode, ruin the rest of your electrical system, etc.

310W = 22.46A at 13.8V
510W = 36.95A at 13.8V Still a LOT of current, and with your vat-o-zone halogen bulbs, you still wont get a whole ton of output.

That is the most retarded way to wire a vehicle's lighting system. Yes, it works, but all of the current is flowing through the switch. if something shorts out in the system, you could easily get electrocuted. It is MUCH better to wire in a relay, that way you have a tiny bit of current flowing through the switch, (Just enough to trigger the relay to turn on) then the relay carry's all the current through it, well away from you.

Once again, I addressed these comments before. If you want advice, you're going to get it. Don's ask for advice, then tell the people that know what they are talking about, that they are wrong. If you knew anygoddamn thing about what you were asking about, then why would you be asking about it.
Here's what I reccommend, if you are looking for super bright lights.
-Go to this website:
http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Ap...Raptor-HID-Kit. These are a million times brighter than any halogen bulb could ever dream of.
-Order the 55W kit (You don't need the Hi-Lo beam kit, there is not really a difference)
-If you want white light (for headlights) get 5000K or 4500K,
-If you want a bluer light, go 8000K with 55W, 6000K with 35W
-I believe the correct bulb for the rangers is the 9007 bulb for headlights, Fogs, I'm not 100% sure on for your year.
-Follow the instructions on the package, and test it out. if that doesnt work, the click this link:
http://www.ranger forums .com/f59/ho...ion-kit-62147/
The HID's will give you MUCH more light output than anything else. but if you must have more, than I suggest you get a set of off-road lights like these:
(Off-road lights behind grill, 55W 8000K HID's in headlights)
When you wire them up, be sure to use a relay, and please for christs sake, do a clean wiring job.
I hope that helps. If you would like me to go more in depth with reasons as to why electrical systems are done this way, let me know.
