My girl's Exploder had a leaking pinion seal. I got real good at checking the fluid level and topping it off until I could change the seal out for a new one.

Thanks for the good advice. I guess we are responsible for checking any work we have done on our trucks, whoever does it.

I should by a big bulb turkey baster just for my truck. For adding lube to the diffs and tranny and sucking out the power steering res. I hate to think what would happen if my wife's was to be used. The planet would probably careen out of orbit.

When I topped off the drive train, I cut a length of clear 3/8th tubing at a 45 and poked it through the corner of a zip lock bag from the inside and left 1/4" in and duct taped it tight. Poured in some ninety weight and zipped it up.

You can see the lube you're squeezing out and you can pump it up hill, worked great lying on my back under the truck.
