Default Reliability

What is the most reliable engine? Are the Lima 4-cyls and the 3.0 about the same or is one a little better than the other?

Lol, far from junk but they are very under powered!

3.0 is equal to a 2.3 power wise and fuel economy of a 4.0

If you had 3 rangers sitting at a car lot. I would move the 3.0 away and look at the 2.3 or 4.0

2.3 for gas
4.0 for towing

I had a 3.0 and it could barely pull a trailer we use to have. My truck now you cant even tell it is there.

Wow!

Why would Ford make such an engine then? Not really an answer to that?

The reason why the 3.0 is junk is beacause of it's power and fuel efficiency?

It's not JUNK, I think that is really harsh.

It has enough power for a daily driver, I've never had a problem with a lack of power.

The gas mileage is not the best, but I'd rather pay a bit more in gas and have an engine that I can trust to run everyday without any doubt.

Not to be a jerk, but the title of this thread is Reliability, NOT "What has better power or fuel economy?" I already know which has what.
