Default Brush gaurd and mileage?

hey guys just thought of something kinda of weird but it could be good to know to some of us i was wonderin if haveing a full brush gaurd/bar what ever you want to call it on the front of your truck if it affects your mpg. well i know it would deffientaly not help it so i was asking if it hurts it at all with the weight of it. im guessing that they are probably 75 lbs or so, nhavent really looked into it but thats my best guess. so does haveing a full brush gaurd on your truck make you get worse mpg?

More weight, worse areodynamics will have a negetive effect on MPG. but how much?? you might not notice the difference. Then again, you might

mine was 50lbs shipped to me. I have gotten my personal best ever in my ranger with the brush guard on (not saying it improved it, just that it isn't that big a deal) which was 18.8 mpg in the 4.0 4x4 ext cab. Also i had removed the headlight part of the brush guard, so probably weighs about 5-10 lbs less. if that much. all in all, i wouldn't factor mileage into my decision on whether to get one or not. only the looks, price, and how you'll actually use it, etc etc.

mine was also 50lbs and i haven't noticed anything with my mpgs.. it also looks bad ass so you shouldn't worry about the mpg if you really want it

I love the look, as soon as i can figure out how to put on the upper brace brackets but miles per gallon, not a problem as the rangers don't get that anyways, Im not worried about weight as Im finishing up on the 4:56 gears I pulled from a explorer and the rear springs from that same explorer, I also pulled the 5.0 and its looks good after shop did the rebuild, so weight no problem.
