Default plans for my ranger!

hey guys here is my plan i'm gonna do in a few weeks and i will take before and after pics. please share any comments or tips thanks! It's a '99 extended cab stepside, red btw.

i just bought a 3inch lift kit for leaf springs, the kit includes two metal blocks and some long u shaped bolts and some nuts, i bought the kit at advance auto, for 25 bucks. Soo anyways i want to install that and crank the t-bars, oh btw can someone send me the write up on how to crank t-bar's with pics, thanks!

And today i found the tires i want! i found them at sullivan tire. they are fierce attitude m/t and they look verry aggresive. i'm gonna get them in 285 75 r16, right now im running 245 75 r16.

Now after doing this i want to beef up the power a little bit. what can i do, cai, chip?? I have a 5 speed and im just running off the cat no muffler(it sounds great!)

oh and the tires are 245 per tire for the 285's and 1065 for all 4 tires and install and everything.

I'd take pics of the torsion bar adjustment bolts, but I just got out of the hospital today after back surgery. Just follow the bars backward and you can't miss the bolts. For more power, a chip and a regear would do you good.

Those are a little bigger than 32s which I ran on my last truck with 3.73. It was a dog, but being a 3.0 did not help. I got around just fine though.

The 285/75 is as close to 33" as you're going to get in metric size. You do have the best engine for the job, but 3.73's with 33's isn't the most ideal setup. Still totally do-able though!

For comparison, I have 4.10 gears. If I were to put 33's on my truck, it would roughly simulate having 3.73 gears. You already have 3.73's, so 33's on your truck will knock your "simulated" gearing down a notch. You will be wasting some power, but as has been said, you can still do it.
