get it thru your heads! there is no "replacement" for the U.S. Ranger. it will die after the 2011 production. I live near the ranger Plant. We just received the news from Ford that the Ranger is Dead.
as John Cleese would put it: "it's dead. it's no more. it has no life. it ceases to exist."

So Ford announced to the neighbors that the Ranger is dead yet have publicly said nothing about ending Ranger production? I find that hard to believe.

yeah i skimmed through the facebook announcement, it said the next world ranger, like how they revealed the next world focus. And im really sure Ford will have another Ranger, becuase the small truck market is only going to grow now that people had that gas scare a couple years ago. Im just hoping its not gonna be fwd, that would FAIL

no wait, did a little more reading. Ford just said the US ranger is 110% dead now, it will be replaced by the F150. I guess that explains why Ford put the new Expo on a Taurus body. The new ranger for everyone but north America will get bigger, almost the size of the f150.

I'm presuming you're referring to the autoblog article that quotes a ford employee saying they aren't bringing the global Ranger to the U.S. and elaborates on how that quote means Ford told them the ranger is dead.
